Caitlin Riley - Assistant Principal

Ms. Caitlin Riley has served as an educator for over twenty-five years. In 1998, she began her teaching and coaching career at T.C. Williams High School (Alexandria, VA), where she taught social studies and coached cross country, indoor track and field, and outdoor track and field. She moved to Virginia Beach in 2003 and coached at Tallwod High School for 13 years and served as a teacher there for seven years. She also worked as the School Improvement Specialist and Administrative Assistant at Tallwood. She served at Ocean Lakes High School as an Administrative Assistant for one year and at Kempsville High School as an Assistant Principal for six years before moving to Kellam High School.

She has a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Sociology from the University of Pennsylvania, where she was a four-year varsity cross country and track and field athlete. She earned a Master of Education from Harvard University and an Education Specialist degree from the University of Virginia. She is the proud parent of a Class of 2020 VBCPS graduate.
